'Believe, Excite, Succeed, Together'

Age Related Expectation Information

When the National Curriculum was revised, we were encouraged to see the new expectations laid out per year group as Age Related Expectations. These are a set of objectives that are to be covered across the curriculum in the year group your child is currently in. At the end of the year, an assessment is made to see if your child is working at the expectations set out for them. If a child is able to show this for a wide range of the objectives, then we assess as 'working at greater depth'.

Below are handy parent leaflets which aim to set out the Age Related Expectations for children in all year groups (please be aware, this is a condensed version of the curriculum-the teachers use the full National Curriculum-these leaflets are more for information). Within lesson time, teachers will be focusing their sessions to meet the expectations and homework will also be based around the expectations set out within the National Curriculum to consolidate or to extend.
